Assured Chicken Production Standards
Assured Chicken Production (ACP) is an industry-wide initiative that addresses all the important issues concerning the production of chicken. It is an independently assessed assurance scheme designed to deliver confidence to the consumer.
Standards have been written to include best practice in food safety, bird health, nutrition, welfare and trace ability to achieve high levels of food safety and environmental care.
The standards are validated annually by CMI, (Oxford) at the beginning of April each year.
Red Tractor
Assured Food Standards (AFS) is the independent organization set up to manage the Red Tractor mark. The Assured Chicken Production scheme (ACP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of AFS for the production of assured chicken. AFS define the standards for (ACP) and license Highbury annually at the beginning of April each year.
